Welcome to Bearsden Cross

When looking for clothes, food and gifts Bearsden Cross is hard to beat......

This site is a window  for the shops and businesses which serve the people of Bearsden.

Bearsden is one of the premier places to live in Scotland with an abundance of good quality homes, schools, shops, and property. The Cross is and has been the central shopping area for over 100 years for this friendly residential suburb. It is situated approximately 6 miles (20 minutes) north of Glasgow city center on the A809 road to Drymen and Loch Lomond.  There are 3 free car parks adjacent to the shops. Bearsden train station is a 5 minute walk and is on the Milngavie Line from Glasgow Queen Street station (low level platform) with a 1/4 hourly service.  The school is situated next to the war memorial and opposite the shops. If you are visiting the busiest times are when the school goes in an out.  At other times a walk around the streets and into the shops is the real way to sample the character of Bearsden with its taste and style.

The motto of Bearsden is "Bear The Gree" from Robert burns and means To take first place.
